Virtual World Breastfeeding Week 2026

IIT Hyderabad Hospital celebrated World Breastfeeding Week 2026 from 1st–7th August through a week-long virtual awareness campaign focused on promoting, protecting, and supporting breastfeeding.
Throughout the week, daily educational messages, podcasts, breastfeeding tips, myth-busters, nutrition guidance, counselling, and an online quiz were shared with mothers, mothers-to-be, and the IIT Hyderabad community.
The campaign received an encouraging response, with mothers actively participating, sharing feedback, and seeking breastfeeding counselling. A total of 15 mothers, including pregnant and antenatal mothers, received counselling during the week.
The campaign concluded with a Closing Ceremony on 7th August 2026, celebrating the participation and efforts of the IIT Hyderabad community.
